Preventative

Preventative health care includes all the things we can do to try to keep our pets healthy and reduce preventable diseases. Annual health checks are important to ensure we pick up any lumps or abnormalities, early detection of problems can sometimes be the difference between life and death. Vaccinations against disease are also an important part of preventative health care.
For those with new puppies and kittens, we recommend a thorough check-up to discuss your pets care from diet, exercise, breed related issues to monitor, vaccinations and parasite prevention. We also talk about desexing (pros and cons and timing).
For our senior pets, we recommend a “twice for life” philosophy. Older pets are more likely to develop issues with their organ function and need intervention to ensure continued quality of life. More regular checks are important to enable our team to detect issues early and intervene. As they say… “Prevention is better than cure”
