Dr Belinda is a Sydney University graduate but Torquay local. She joined our team in early 2008 and became a director in 2011. She has impressive general practice skills and a special interest in feline medicine.
Belinda is the mother of PoPo (pictured) as well as a gorgeous Burmie and two big brown dogs.
Not only is he a well-known radio personality, discussing all things pets on 3AW, Bay FM and Pulse FM, he is also the author of "To Ballina and Back".

Jane has returned to work part time after becoming a mum to Harriet and now William. She became and director of NVC in 2011.
Jane is still involved in the trials for an anti cancer compound called EBC 46
She is the owner of the Murray the Jack Russell and Angus the West Highland White Terrier
After many years working in a small animal practice in Melbourne, Katie became one of the directors of Newtown Vet Clinic in 2011. She has quickly become a client (and animal) favourite due to her kind and gentle nature. Katie has a love and a genuine talent in small animal orthopeadics.
Kate Chambers has been an invaluable member of the Newtown Team for two years now. She is a well respected veterinarian and her genuine care and passion for animals is clear. Kate is a Tasmanian girl who has made the leap across the Strait. She is the proud mum of Sadie the Golden Retriever and Mable the Burmese X cat, and when not at the clinic Kates favourite place is the beach
Vicki grew up in Geelong but studied in QLD, graduating from the University of Queensland in 2005.
Vicki has worked with horses for most of her career to date. After becoming a mum to Matilda and Jack, she made the decision to have a ‘career change’ and shift from working with horses to small animals.
Newtown Veterinary Clinic has been lucky to welcome Vicki to the team where she has been loving the challenge of being a small animal veterinarian.
Her pets include Bear the Bull Mastiff, Lily the Rhodesian Rideback, Spooky the Cat, and the chooks – Dr Who, Amy and Rose.
Dr John has joined our team and has quickly become a favourite with animals, clients and staff. He brings with him extensive emergency training, great surgical and medical skills and a kind, caring and gentle nature. Dr John and his wife Jen (who you may see around the clinic sometimes) are currently parents to two beautiful geriatric staffies.
Carley is back at the clinic and working part time. She is a wonderful mother to her son Jimi and brings that caring nature into the clinic to help care for the animals.
Anna is a very friendly and knowledable nurse. She runs our "pet slimmers" weight loss program. If your pooch needs to shape up then give Anna a call.
Kate, pictured here with "Duke", is our Head Surgical Nurse. She holds her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing with many years’ experience, including the University of Melbourne Veterinary Hospital.
With a back ground in human oncology as well as being a qualified Vet Nurse, Maria is a highly skilled addition to our team. Maria is mum to one human, one feline and one canine baby.
Tania has been a veterinary nurse for many years. She is a wonderful source of information and happy to help answer any animal questions you may have. She is friendly and always happy to help. Tania coordinates our Puppy School Program
Annie is a fully qualified veterinary nurse. She spent many years coordinating a clinic in the Pilbra WA and has brought her organisational skills to NVC. She is often found sitting at the front desk and will be able to assist you with your needs.
Annie is mum to a large Ridgeback dog called Raf
Karen is a very important member of our nursing team. Karen is an excellent veterinary nurse who brings great skills and a big smile to work every day. She is the owner of Milo the cat (pictured).
Ella is a passionate dog and cat owner. She is very interested in animal welfare and has worked out at GAWS for a year. Ella is a bubbly and friendly team member and will go out of her way to make sure everyone who comes to the clinic (both human and animal) is looked after. You may find Ella walking her dog along one of the areas many beaches on the weekends.
Alex is new to our team but already a favourite with our clients and their patients. She has recently completed her Cert IV in veterinary nursing. Watch out for her smiling face and helpful "can do" attitude.
Karryn is new to our team. She is already a favourite with our clients and pets. Pictured here with her cat Theodore. Karryn has completed Certificate II and Certificate III in Animal Studies, and is in her second year of study for Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Milly has just completed her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing. She is pictured here with one of her furry friends.
