These two killer diseases are spread from fighting and or via saliva (shared water bowls, grooming etc). Please contact your vet if you have any questions. Rabbits Unfortunately rabbits cannot be vaccinated against myxo in Australia, however we are able to vaccinate them against rabbit calicivirus (haemorrhagic viral diarrhea). Your rabbit should be vaccinated at 8-10 weeks and again at 12 weeks then every year. However, if your rabbit is already 12 weeks old, then one vaccination per year should suffice. Ferrets Ferrets should be vaccinated yearly against distemper virus. Please speak to your vet regarding your ferret vaccinations. Back |
